"Architecture is the art of making shelter for commnuities, not just for individuals, communities... and society are never the same; the world keeps changing, and changes are difficult to swallow for people. Arhcitecture is the mirror of these changes" - Renzo Piano.

Any aspect and role in this industry can be dawnting, overwhelming and sometimes frightening for people of all abilities and experience. We think being as authentic as possible and being yourself is ever so important but it is also important to understand that this authentic self should be compassionate for others, empathetic for those who need it, sympathetic for those going through things and togetherness for any organization you are a part of - in or outside of the industry.

In a sector where "pace" is important dealing with this speed of change can become very hard and tricky and can sometimes blind us from the feelings of those around us. It is important however to understand that time can always be bought when healthy and rushed work is not good work. Meticulously strategizing and visualising the steps required to complete work to a high quality is important and taking a breathe, seeing this, believing and then doing are the four steps to the start of something potentially beautiful. Work is art and art brings people together and in this industry one can really use this creativity to provide the best service to clients. Art is never perfect and may be beautiful in one persons' mind and not in the others but understanding this and understanding that the client you are creating this art for have their own wants, needs and opinions - and this is where a great artist can make something of nothing.

"Others have seen what is and asked why. I have seen what could be and asked why not" - Pablo Picasso. For "what is" can be the detriment and unveiling of ones mindset and a lot of "no's" and "it can't be done" or the famous "it should be done like this..." said by five people reoccurs too much. Having the strength to beliveing, the perserverance to follow through with the idea and the power to create something tailored to your clients expectations is where the art matters and where the bristles of the brush are given a gold colour in the end!
